This, my friends, is a gatsby. For my American viewers, it's kind of like a hoagie, but bigger and with more chips (french fries). These things are AWESOME and inexpensive- this whole thing, which was two filling meals for Raoul and I, cost about $9.00 (R70).

Reverse lens macro (or the accurately nicknamed "poor man's macro") is seriously addicting. Just for reference, this cactus flower is the same one from this photo I took in March.

We got back late last night after being out all day, so I had to take photos inside with flash. I don't like doing that, because using onboard camera flash means you get shadows and bright spots, etc, so I decided to try a new technique for diffusing the flash. I got a white paper (actually a booklet, and it was white glossy paper), and held it in front of the flash at an angle to bounce the flash off the ceiling.
